Yes, there is a fee associated with each MAB trip. The price of the trip varies depending on if you’re doing a weekend of service or a week-long trip. MAB Participants fundraise in order to pay for their trip. There are also scholarships available.
Transportation and meals are planned by Site Leaders of MAB trips. The costs of transportation and meals are factored into your participant fee. We utilize rental vehicles for transportation, and we allot certain dollar amounts per person per day for meals while on a trip.
Yes, once site leaders select participants they will be expected to meet as a group at least four times before the weekend or week of their trip. Participant meetings are important for group bonding and pre-service education. Groups will also use these times to learn about their service focus and plan for and complete their service trip.
Group sizes will range from 6-12 students based on the number of applications received.
